Generations of integrity, knowledge, and experience

The National Museum of Qatar, which opened in March 2019 to replace the original 1975 structure, was designed by Jean Nouvel and inspired by desert rose crystals. Interlocking disc-shaped forms create a flowing structure and shade, with the historic Old Amiri Palace, former residence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, preserved at its heart.

Trans Seas USA handled purchasing, contract negotiation, supply chain management, and logistics for the museum, and was commissioned to oversee procurement and quality management for custom restaurant and café furnishings.

The complex geometry demanded constant presence and close interface management between architecture and engineering teams, drawing on experts and fabricators from Europe, the Gulf region, the USA, and East and South Asia.
